18th Century Military reproduction

Description

Fine copy of Belly Box, Original from the former George Neumann collection, general time period1750-1783. Holds 25 cartouches 3/4 x 2 1/4, block is hand made of dried white pine encased in 1/8 inch thick naturally tanned cowhide. All leather is from a side dyed black, cut and stitched by hand. Flap is secured by a brass stud secured in the bottom, put the small hole of the keeper over the stud, push in and the flap will not open until you pull away. Loops, stitched on the back will accept up to a two inch belt.
