This listing is for a set of 4 wheel covers, NOT for the 1949 Diamond T pickup truck I have shown them on. Thanks to another non-paying buyer who will not or can not read my description, I now have no relist this set of very scarce and much nicer than average wheel covers. I can ship this set of 4 very hard to find wheel covers to any country outside of the USA most economically using Priority Mail International from the United States Postal Service.
This listing is for a set of 4 chrome plated steel full wheel covers that were offered as an accessory to fit the 20" Clark wheel rims that were a rather scarce option on 1941 or so through 1949 Diamond T Model 201 one ton pickup trucks and perhaps even some Model 404 light trucks with single rear wheels of that same vintage. If you know more about the application of these very scarce full wheel covers, please let me know.
The first photo of this listing shows 2 20" full wheel covers on the left side of a nice 1949 Model 201 pickup survivor that I owned several years ago.
That truck is NOT part of this listing.
That photo of that pickup is shown for your reference only since very few Diamond T collectors have seen the 20" wheel option for the Model 201 pickup trucks or even know anything about them. Wheel cover number 5 is shown on the front of this truck and wheel cover number 1 is shown on the rear of this truck.
Several years ago,
I sold that fine original "survivor" pickup truck shown in the first photo to a collector on the east coast. He later raped it by high grading the 20" wheels for another restored Model 201 pickup that had 16" wheels on it. I have no idea where that fabulous original truck is today. I suspect it still has the much more common and plain looking 16" doughnut" wheels rather than the beautiful 20" wheels it left the factory with. One has very little or no control over what happens when a vehicle is sold.
I believe all 4 wheel covers are only marginally good enough for an original "survivor" vehicle and would need to be re-chromed for use on a restored vehicle.
I numbered these 4 wheel covers from 1 to 4 with what I believe to be the best covers with the lowest numbers.
Cover number 1 has the most original chrome plating intact of the set of 4 and is very nice but the chrome will have to be redone for show use.
Cover number 2 is nice and straight except for some curb rash at the 7 O'clock position that I missed when I first made this listing. Fortunately, that damage is on the curved part and not in the ribbed area so it will not be too difficult to straighten. Someone has already straightened that area somewhat but it needs a bit more help to make it ready for plating. The last photo of this listing shows a closeup of that minor damage.
Cover number 3 is very nice and straight with no curb rash or damage other than poor chrome plating as you can easily see in the photos. It is actually in better condition than cover number 2 but I am not going to change the cover numbers and retake my photos at this point.

umber 4 has a several very minor dents on the rounded part near the center.
Cover number 4 is the worst of all. It has several small dents above, in and below the DIAMOND T logo in the center. It also has a small ding in the rear rib of the center cap just above the right edge of the black tape that holds the white number 4 paper tag in place. It also has some deflected metal around the hole that clears the lug not at the 10 O'clock position.
Because this is the worst of the 4 covers and the fact that I want to see a nice pickup truck really dressed up with this set of covers, I am offering the following option to any buyer.
Now I will complicate this listing just a bit but please hang in here with me and read what follows. Wheel cover number 5 is shown in the last 2 photos with wheel cover number 6. A close up of the damage on cover number 5 is shown in the next to the last photo of this listing.
I need to keep 2 of my group of 6 of these rare covers to make a set for a Model 306, 404, 509 or 614 truck that has dual rear wheels. I planned to keep covers number 5 and 6 for a larger truck because I feel they are not as good as covers number 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Cover number 5 has most of it's original chrome plating as does cover number 1 but cover number 5 has serious some curb rash that may be hard to straighten as you can see in the last photo of this listing. If anyone would rather have that cover number 5 instead of any of the cover numbers 1, 2, 3, or 4, I would be willing to let them have their choice of any 4 of my 6 covers shown here. However, time is of the essence here and I will explain that now.
I plan to list the smooth perimeter covers number 5 and 6 with 2 more covers with the notch for the valve stem on the perimeter to make a set of 4 for a larger dual rear wheeled truck in another listing. If this set of 4 Model 201 pickup smooth perimeter covers sells first, the buyer gets to choose which of the 6 covers he might want. If the other set for the larger dual rear wheel truck sells first, that buyer will get cover numbers 5 and 6 and will not have the option to choose any of the cover numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4 for his set of 4 covers for the larger dual rear wheel trucks.
To explain this a bit further, I believe the dual rear wheel trucks used 2 of the smooth perimeter covers like those in this listing but only on the pair of front wheels. They then used a pair of similar covers that had a 4" notch on one spot on the perimeter to clear the valve stem on each of the inner dual rear wheels. I hope this all makes sense to you so please contact me if it does not.
In my opinion, nothing dresses up a Diamond T Pickup more than the addition of 20" wheels. Then, nothing improves that truck more than a set of 4 20" smooth perimeter wheel covers like the set I am offering here. I haunted eBay for many years to acquire these 6 good or better original 20" smooth perimeter wheel covers. If you have an interest in wheel covers like these, you might to well to "bite the bullet" and buy them while they are still available.
I think I have a nice set of 5 of the smaller full wheel covers that fit the regular 16" Clark rims that are commonly used on the Model 201 pickups and  Model 306 trucks. I plan to list them here as soon as I find them in my extensive collection of collectible automobile, truck and tractor parts. Please be sure to check my listings here frequently to find what you might be looking for.
Now that I am 67 years of age and my interests and priorities have changed considerably in the last 2 years. I no longer dream of restoring many vehicles so I will be offering all of my Diamond T "treasures" here in the next few weeks. They include but are not limited to a pair of Unity fog lamps with the Diamond T logo on top, many die-cast and stainless steel grille halves, 1 NOS and several nice and some damaged grille ornaments, several grille center vertical strips, many pieces of grille and hood trim. some "chins" that are located under the grille, some restored and original dash gauges, small "dog dish" hubcaps, and many other nice Diamond T parts I can not think of right now. I won't sell these items off of eBay so please don't fill my mail box with requests to do so. You will have to wait until I list them here. Believe me, it will be worth the wait.
