Description

Vintage Demitasse Spoon Set from Auran Kultaseppa Co., Finland.
Lovely small spoons created with open work and single rose handle.  Handle has an antiqued matte finish and the bowl has a shiny gold vermeil finish.  Spoons
are the perfect size to use with demitasse cups for coffee or tea and they come
in their original presentation box.
Spoons are hallmarked with an Eagle Head facing left, a crown in a heart, 813H, an unusual A and Z6.
-- The eagle head is the company hallmark for Auran Kultaseppa, the second oldest silver factory in Finland.
--A crown inside a heart means these pieces were made in Finland (Suomi).
--813H says these spoons are made of just over 80% solid silver.
--The odd A shows these spoons were made in the Finnish town of Turku.
--Z6 means they were produced in 1953.
Inside presentation box reads, "Rajanen, Lahti," which I believe is the store name and city (Lahti in southern Finland) where the spoon set was originally purchased.
Spoons measure approximately 4 3/4" long.
Spoons are in lovely used condition.  Backs of spoons have HH monograms as seen in closeup photo.  Silver has light tarnish as seen in a few photos.  Spoons are not 925 sterling silver, but are the silver standard and silver percentage 813 that was used in Finland in the 1950s.
Box shows wear and discoloration from age as seen in photographs.
