Description

This listing is for an Old Vintage 19th Century French Neoclassical Style Gilt Bronze Handled Tazza / Centerpiece Bowl by Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892).  It is marked on bottom "F. BARBEDIENNE & Cie" (photo 3).  It is of very high quality with great detail.  It features Bacchus with Grapes, Leaves, and Pinecones on one side.  A Roman Female Goddess on the other (photos 4 and 5).  Ram Heads and Grapes decorate the stem of pedestal.
It is in very good "As Is" antique condition.  No repairs.  I did not attempt to clean it and there is a lot of aged patina / verdigris and wear to the gold gilding.  One handle has a fissure near bottom (photo 12), but is still attached on the other side.  Other usual wear consistent with age and use.  No other damage that I can find.  Please view photos carefully as they are my main description.
It is very heavy weighing just under 5 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed.  *(I have a UPS shipping option listed along with USPS.  UPS is usually the cheapest for big and heavy packages.  So if the shipping price seems too high just send me your zip code and I will take a look).
It measures 8 1/2" (21.5 cm) tall to top of handles, 9 3/4" (25 cm) wide across handles, 6 7/8" (17.5 cm) across top rim with a 6 1/4" (16 cm) inside diameter of bowl, 6 1/4" (16 cm) tall to rim, and 4 1/4" (10.7 cm) at the base or foot.
Please feel free to Email with any questions and be sure to check out my other glassware, pottery, and antique items.  Thanks!
