ANTIQUE SILVERED BRONZE FIGURAL PITCHER w/UNDER OCEAN MOTIF, 12-1/2" TALL         (late 19th to early 20th century)
Fantastic pitcher.  The spout features a face, possibly a pirate or god of the sea.  The handle features a maiden holding a fishing net in which she has caught a lobster & a fish.  A young child is holding the other end of the fishing net.  See photos for details.  The pitcher stands 12-1/2" tall with a 4" base diameter & aa approximately 1-1/2" top opening.  It measures 8" across at the widest point.  Heavy - weighs 11 pounds 12.1 ounces.  Good vintage condition.  The silver does not polish.  I am told it may be nickel silver.  There are some small areas where the bronze is showing through.  Very detailed & whimsical - an awesome collectible pitcher!!
