Bassett Lowke Scale Models 6 & 9 Pound Revolutionary War Brass Cannon Bookends

Description

Up for auction are two beautifully detailed rare and hard to find vintage (1976) brass and wood cannon bookends. Titled The Guns of '76 these two hand finished cannons have been specially built by Bassett-Lowke Limited of England, for the British American Bicentenary Groups 1776-1976. The cannons wheels roll and cannon pivots. The solid mahogany wood bookends with engraved brass plaques have some scuffs and signs of age from being over 45 years old and they measures 7 1/4" tall  9 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" deep
. The British Royal Regiment field artillery 6 pound cannon measures 3 3/4" Tall 8" wide and 4 1/4" deep.
The American Revolutionary Army field artillery 9 pound cannon measures 4" Tall 8" wide and 4 1/4" deep. I did notice this cannon is missing the leveling / elevation brass screw/pin (see pics).
These highly detailed brass cannons would make a nice home office desk fireplace mantel art
. This lovely bookends would look great in any Militaria, French Indian, French Indian, American Revolutionary, Civil War, medieval brass mid century modern decor collection, man cave or a gift.
