This beautiful specimen was found on the coast of South Carolina after Hurricane Ian in September of this year.  A large number of Forbes Sea Stars were washed onshore and were not alive when authorities allowed people back on the South Carolina beaches.  It is illegal to remove starfish, sand dollars, sea urchins and other live animals, or shells with live animals, from the beaches in South Carolina and other coastal states.  Starfish, or sea stars, can usually be found after major storms or when the water temperature drastically changes.
This sea star specimen is perfect for collectors, crafters, home and beach decor, such as shell arrangements and wall art.  It measures approximately 6 inches.
Please view the pictures carefully before you buy.  All shells have natural imperfections.  The Sea Star/Starfish in the pictures are what you will receive, so make sure that you are satisfied and message with any questions you have before purchasing.  This natural starfish has not been washed.  It is as it was collected from the beach and has beach sand and small shells attached.  It has been air dried and ventilated outdoors and may still have a slight odor which will in go away in time.  For Collectors, Home Decor, House and Garden, Craft and Jewelry projects.
