Imperial German, RARE Minty Bavarian Officer’s Brocade Dress Belt & Buckle from the second largest Kingdom in the German Empire.The belt measures 36” long overall with a makers mark on the interior leather that is not readable. Brocade Belts were worn only on ceremonial occasions and are quite rare. There is a slight issue on the interior of the belt ( see photo’s) the glue that held the end of the leather adjustment tab to the felt inner liner has failed. This is an easy repair that is not necessary if the belt is to be displayed. The German Empire was composed of four Kingdoms, Prussia, Bavaria, Wurttemberg & Saxony in that order. This belt is a pre-war example from the Kingdom of Bavaria. Multiple purchases can be combined for postage savings.
