Norwegian Silver (830) Table Spoon by Jens Bryde 1859

Description

This wonderful table spoon was made by Silver Master Jens Bryde in 1859.   It is also engraved J.B. - perhaps he made it for himself?  We may never know but we do know this is a wonderful piece of Norwegian silver history.
Jens was born 1/4/1817 in Kongsberg and died 3/31/1877 in Chrstiania (Oslo). He became master in 1847 and worked up to 1877. He was active in the town of Drammen.
The spoon is 8 1/2 long and weighs 45 grams with all the appropriate markings.   It is 830 silver.
